Transportation Information
2025-2026

February 18, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Enclosed please find the transportation packet for the 2025-2026 school year. The State of New Jersey mandates that all non-public school students must have a B6T on file, regardless of how their son travels to school. Forms must be returned to the Prep Transportation Office by March 5, 2025, so we can meet the state deadline.  If you have previously qualified for state reimbursement, you are still eligible for the Aid-In-Lieu even if your son carpools or drives to school. This past year the reimbursement from NJ was $1,177.00. The mileage for eligibility is less than 20 miles from your home to school for all counties EXCEPT Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties, while the mileage for those is less than 30 miles.

The transportation fee is $1,910.00. The Shuttle (transportation to and from OLMA only) is $850.00. If your son will be riding the bus, please submit the Transportation Form and payment. Forms received without payment will not be considered. Seats are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Please note Bus 10, Bus 2, and Bus 6 fill up quickly. Once we reach capacity, a “wait list” will be formed, and you will have to plan on an alternative stop. If your son will need two bus stops, they must be listed on the form. A second stop will not be considered unless it is noted on the form and there is room on the bus. The transportation contract is based on the number of buses needed.  The school is liable for the contract for the entire school year per the signed Transportation forms.  Refunds will not be issued if your child does not ride the bus for the entire school year.

Please make sure you have registered with proof of residency at your resident school district so that they will acknowledge the B6T when we send it to them. Acceptable forms for you to provide to your district are current utility bills, lease, and tax mortgage statements. Please send them directly to your district office.  Cell phone bills are not acceptable.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 856-697-2600 ext. 142, or Mrs.Battin@hermits.com. We are looking forward to another great year at the Prep!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Christine Battin
